THE FARM
Since 1870 six generations of the Robie Family have worked this 150 acre farm situated on the Connecticut River in Piermont, NH.
From spring to fall our herd of Normande and Jersey cows graze day and night on lush grass and during the winter months they are fed hay and are supplemented with protein rich grain. Normande cows are very well known for quality in both the dairy and beef productions. Normande milk components are the best for making cheese and their meat is known for its flavor and tenderness. The Jersey cows produce more pounds of milk per pound of body weight than any other breed, and their milk is high in butterfat. The proper ratio of Normande to Jersey cows in our herd enables us to produce the best quality milk, cheese and meat available anywhere.
Pasture Poultry are raised in movable pens in our pastures from May through October. The chickens and turkeys are processed here on the farm and sold in the farm store.
Pigs are also part of the barnyard animals that are raised on the farm. Though not in great number, they provide excellent pork products that are also sold in the farm store.
A Greenhouse was constructed in the fall of 2020 which will provide many opportunities to expand our ability to diversify even further.
We are dedicated to learning and implementing new farming advancements and technology which will contribute to our success both now and in the future, while, at the same time, being committed to sustaining the land through conservation and ecological measures.
